The Wyndmere School Foundation was started in 2020 with the establishment of an endowment fund through the North Dakota Community Foundation (NDCF). The endowment is a 501(c)(3) fund, which allows for tax deductible contributions. Creation of the Foundation was made possible through an initial anonymous donation and commitment to invest $5,000 per year for the next 3 years. In partnering with NDCF to start this endeavor, there is a requirement that the initial balance reach $25,000 within 3 years for the fund to meet permanent endowment status. The current balance is approximately $11,750.

The goal of the Foundation is to provide unlimited opportunities to students within our District. These opportunities could be in the form of scholarships affording graduates the opportunity to further their education, new playground equipment, artists in residence, or enhancing education enrichment with in-person or virtual guest speakers. The options for this fund to be a catalyst of enrichment to student achievement are nearly endless.

Undoubtedly, a portion of the success of the Foundation lies with the generosity of those who have benefited from the wonderful education Wyndmere Public School has afforded them.
