It was a big weekend for Warbirds athletics. The fun kicked off Friday night when the Warbirds varsity football team defeated Region-1 opponent Griggs-Midkota 48-14. The win puts the team at 2-0 in region play so far this season with Maple River up next this Friday.
The Warbirds varsity volleyball team had a great showing at the Northern Cass Tournament on Saturday, which was their first competition of the year. The team went 4-1 and earned a 3rd place finish among many talented teams. They followed the tournament up with a home match against Sargent County, which they won 3-1. Up next for the girls is a home match against Richland-44 on Thursday. The game will be played in Lidgerwood.
The Junior High football team won a home game against Enderlin (34-14) and the JH volleyball team starts competition this week (Thursday) with a match at Milnor.
