Highschool Students Helping Out

Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) has been on full display the past few weeks in Wyndmere Elementary.  Students were provided multiple opportunities to learn, engage, and create.

December 8th - Students in grades Kindergarten through 6th worked with North Dakota's Gateway to Science to participate in small group activities in the Community Center.  Stations included microscopes, block building, parachutes, disappearing ink, senses, circuits, colors, health, and aeronautics.  Junior high and high school students assisted throughout the day as groups moved through the stations.

December 12th - 5th and 6th grade students traveled to Milnor with Wyndmere Juniors and Seniors to participate in further STEAM activities.  This year, Mrs. Fyre is teaching Chemistry to both schools.  This field trip was a joint project between the two school's and was completely planned, organized, and executed by her students.  The elementary students joined with students rom Milnor to work on various projects.

December 14th - Wyndmere hosted 3rd and 4th graders from Milnor, along with our own students, to continue working with the high school Chemistry class.
