A group of 6th-8th grade students recently squared off in a local Battle of the Books competition in the school library. Battle of the Books has traditionally been a competition for students in grades 5 and 6, but this year has seen an expansion. Mrs. Manstrom has been coordinating with other educators throughout the state in an effort to make Battle of the Books a larger state-wide competition in the near future.
Students who competed were broken into two teams. Ella Severance, Olivia Hetland, Cody Dotzenrod, and Madeline Severance came out victorious over Charlie Springer, Cora Dotzenrod, Brody Dotzenrod, and Chloe Vosberg.
