WPS 6th Grade Math Olympics Team

On Friday night, the Wyndmere Elementary Math Olympics teams competed in Wahpeton at the annual NDSCS competition.  Each team, composed of 5 students, completes a series of individual tests covering various areas of mathematics.  The group then comes together to compete in a team competition.  16 schools from southeast North Dakota travel to Wahpeton to participate in this event.

This year, Wyndmere's teams did very well and made our school proud.  Charlie Springer (6th grade) took 3rd overall in the individual competition and the 6th grade team (Maddie Severance, Reese Hosford., Zachary Bernard, Charlie Springer, Loretta Quam) took 2nd place overall!  This is the second year in a row that Wyndmere 6th grade has had a place winner (Alex Wolf took 1st overall last year).
